Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old African American allegedly died on the arms of six police officers on April 19, a week following his arrest.

Consequently, protests and riots erupted in not only Baltimore where the incident occurred, but also across the Nation including New York, Denver, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, Oregon, and Oakland, California to stand in solidarity with his family.

UPDATE: Freddie Gray’s death was ruled a homicide May 1, with all officers involved charged.
